Description
Day 01: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Taprohm with sunset at Pre Rup Temple
We are going to pick up you at the lobby of hotel and we depart for Angkor Wat to admire this architectural wonder and the excellent bas-reliefs. It is worth walking a little between the outer laterite wall and the inside of the moat for a tranquil scene of rural life. Then, visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, both sides of the south gate bridge have a demon and a god statue, who are holding the King Cobra called Naga Vasuki. Next, xxplore Bayon. This important temple is with its many captivating giant stone faces. It has 54 towers in total and each tower has four faces. It is at the center of Angkor Thom. Walk out from the north entrance towards Baphoun. You will then find yourself at the Elephant Terrace. This was used to be the audience hall for the king. After that, keep on to Ta Prohm ( famous after the Tomb Raider movie) with its exciting interplay of stonework, nature , big trees and roots that cover the top of the temple. Climb up Pre Rup Temple for a beautiful sunset. Return to hotel and drop off.
Day 02: Adventure hiking to thousands of Ligas and Banteay Srei Temple
Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Kbal Spean located 50 km from Siem Reap. It takes about 1h to reach the site and you will spend a moderately easy 45-minute uphill walk through the woods. Kbal Spean means literally “the head of the river”. This is one of the rivers of 1000 lingas made up of unique Lingas stands chiseled into the riverbed of the Siem Reap river. It was believed that the lingas spiritually fertilized the waters that fed the Eastern Baray and irrigated the rice fields. On the way back, stopover BanteaySrei temple is regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer art. The tenth century temple is renowned for its intricate decoration carved in pink sandstone that covers the walls like tapestry. Banteay Srei was a new name which meaning in Khmer is “Citadel of Woman”. Then, visit Banteay Samre, one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to restoration using the method of “anastylosis”. The name Samre refers to an ethnic group of mountain people who inhabited the region at the base of Phnom Kulen and were probably related to the Khmers. The proportions of Banteay Samre are splendid. A unique feature is an interior moat with laterite paving, which when filled with water must have given an ethereal atmosphere to the temple. Return to hotel and drop off.
Day 03: Koh Keh Group & Beng Mealea Temple
You will ride 150km north-east to the Koh Ker temple group – another ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Scattered over a large area, the most prominent temple of this group by far is the pyramid-like Prasat Thom. A wooden staircase has been repaired recently and it is now again possible to climb up and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding region. On a clear day one can see the Kulen Mountain range in the south-west direction and Dangrek Mountain in the north marking the border with Thailand. Next, visit Beng Mealea, once in a complete state of disrepair resembling a giant jigsaw puzzle,  has recently been made more accessible with the addition of a wooden walkway throughout the structure assuring safe access and slight elevation, thus a better view. This mid 12th century temple features mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism attributes and is particularly mesmerising in the wet season. Return to hotel and drop off.
Day 04: Silk Farm & Tonle Sap lake for floating village
Pick up at hotel and visit Mechrey, a relative newcomer on the Tonle Sap touring scene, is a small floating village approximately 25km west of Siem Reap. Here you will board a traditional wooden boat and through series of channels travel to the floating settlement where life flows in harmony with the rising and falling water levels. As most activities happen on water, prepare your camera for sights of floating markets, schools, chicken and pig pens, floating boat mechanics and smiling faces of the local people. You may wish to disembark and wander through an island pagoda grounds before continuing further to the impressive Flooded Forest stretching over 24 square meters and best viewed in the wet season. Your guide will be able to point out the different species of flora and fauna. Back on dry land, you will visit a small regional centre of Puok where a colourful market offers an unaltered Cambodian shopping experience and an insight into people’s everyday life. Your last stop of the day will be the Silk Farm. A guided tour through the leafy grounds will reveal all the secrets and intricacies of the “from worm to scarf” process in detailed and well presented manner. Many gorgeous pieces produced here are for sale in plethora of colours and those who are not partial to retail therapy can indulge in a cup of coffee and cake in the friendly Cafe on the premises. Return to hotel and drop off.

We then pass the Napoleon III Pavilion made from iron, a gift from the French emperor in the 19th century. Inside are some of the country's most cherished treasures, including a life-size gold Buddha studded with 9584 diamonds, the largest weighing 25 carats.

We leave for Wat Phnom Temple founded by Daun Penh (Grandma Penh), a wealthy widow who in 1372, retrieved from a river a log with five Buddha statues in it and ordered to elevate a piece of her property on which to build a temple to house the statues. Later on, Grandma Penh and the villagers converted to build a temple on the top of the mountain and brought the four Buddha statues to the temple. After that we go to visit Independence Monument. Private One Day Trip-Pyramid Temple Koh Ker and Beng Mealea

Private Tour, What To See

Let a local host show you around and experience this cultural attraction from a local perspective. We drive to Beng Mealea, a jungled temple with peaceful and green environment. Then, we visit The archaeological site of Koh Ker, UNESCO on September 17, 2023, a sacred urban ensemble of numerous temples and sanctuaries including sculptures, inscriptions, wall paintings, and archaeological remains. Constructed over a twenty-three-year period, it was one of two rival Khmer Empire capitals – the other being Angkor – and was the sole capital from 928 to 944 CE. Established by King Jayavarman IV, his sacred city was believed to be laid out on the basis of ancient Indian religious concepts of the universe. The new city demonstrated unconventional city planning, artistic expression and construction technology, especially the use of very large monolithic stone blocks. Back to Siem Reap.

Private Tour to Anlong Veng (Khmer Rouge Stronghold)

Private Tour, What To See
An interesting touring addition for those who have a little more time in Siem Reap and are keen to learn about the recent turbulent history of Cambodia. Anlong Veng lies 125km north of Siem Reap in the area of Dangrek Mountains which mark the border between Cambodia and Thailand. It appears on the touring map for two main reasons: it was the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge and is the resting place of Pol Pot. Not much remains of Pol Pot's bunker but a shell of a house overgrown with foliage and “decorated” with profane graffiti. The province still has plenty of mine fields but these are away from the town centre and experts are working continuously on their clearance. Your guide will be able to shed more light on the last few decades and perhaps share the story of his/her family in those difficult times.
