Day 01: Iconic Temples of Angkor & Sunset at Pre Rup

  • Stops: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom South Gate, Bayon Temple, Baphoun, Elephant Terrace, Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider Temple), and Pre Rup Temple.

  • Experience: Marvel at the grand architecture and intricate bas-reliefs of Angkor Wat. Discover the enigmatic giant stone faces of Bayon, walk through the jungle-engulfed roots of Ta Prohm, and conclude your first day with a breathtaking sunset view from the top of Pre Rup Temple.

Day 02: Kbal Spean Adventure Hike & Banteay Srei Temple

  • Stops: Kbal Spean, Banteay Srei Temple, and Banteay Samre.

  • Experience: Enjoy a moderate 45-minute uphill trek through the woods to Kbal Spean, famous for the ancient “River of a Thousand Lingas” chiseled directly into the riverbed. Afterward, admire the exquisite pink sandstone carvings of Banteay Srei—the jewel of classical Khmer art—and explore the wonderfully restored temple complex of Banteay Samre.

Day 03: Remote Koh Ker Pyramid & Beng Mealea Jungle Temple

  • Stops: Koh Ker Temple Group (Prasat Thom) and Beng Mealea.

  • Experience: Venture 150km northeast to the ancient Khmer Empire capital of Koh Ker. Climb the towering pyramid-like structure of Prasat Thom for panoramic views of the surrounding region and the distant mountains. Continue to Beng Mealea, a mesmerizing 12th-century jungle temple wrapped in vines and safely explored via modern wooden walkways.

Day 04: Tonle Sap Floating Village, Puok Market & Silk Farm

  • Stops: Mechrey Floating Village, Flooded Forest, Puok Local Market, and the Siem Reap Silk Farm.

  • Experience: Board a traditional wooden boat to explore Mechrey, a tranquil floating settlement on the Tonle Sap Lake. We come face to face with the horrific crimes of the Khmer Rouge. Tuol Sleng was a former high school that the Khmer Rouge turned into a centre for interrogation, torture and death. Today it is a museum of torture and serves to remind visitors of the terrible atrocities that came to pass in Cambodia. 17,000 people passed through the gates of this prison and only seven lived to tell the tale. We then travel out of town to the Killing Fields of ChoengEk. Prisoners from Tuol Sleng followed this same route to their fate. An old Chinese cemetery, ChoengEk was turned into an extermination camp for political prisoners. The remains of 8985 people were exhumed from mass graves and are kept in a memorial stupa here. Despite the horrors of the past, it is a peaceful place to go and a tranquil spot to reflect on the tragic events that engulfed Cambodia and its people. Back to hotel and drop off.
