Day 01: Banteay Srey & Preh Khan

Pick up at the lobby of hotel and transfer to visit Banteay Srei temple (10th century) regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer art. The tenth century temple of Banteay Srei is renowned for its intricate decoration carved in pinkish sandstone that covers the walls. Then, visit Prasat Tasom, built in the late 12th century (C.E) classic Bayon-style by Jayavarman VII in Buddhist. Next, explore Prasat Neak Pean, small island temple located in the middle of the last baray to be constructed by a khmer king in the Angkor Area. Finally, we visit Preah Khan temple, another temple with spectacular trees and roots taking over the ancient man made structures which would give Ta Prohm run for its money any day! Explore the delicate carvings and don’t miss the only two-storey construction in Angkor; standing on high columns this is a unique phenomenon in Khmer architecture. Your knowledgeable guide will help you navigate through the temple grounds. Back to hotel and drop off.

Day 02: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Taprohm

Pick up at hotel and transfer to visit South Gate of Angkor Thom. On the left side of the moat, 54 ‘devas’ (guardian gods) pull the head of the snake ‘Shesha’ while on the right side 54 ‘asuras’ (demon gods) pull the snake’s tail in the opposite direction. Then, visit Bayon, over 2000 large faces carved on the 54 tower give this temple its majestic character and the bas-reliefs contain genre scenes of everyday life-markets, fishing, festivals with cockfights and jugglers and so on-and history scenes with battles and processions. Next, explore Baphuon, built in middle of the 11th century (1060) by king Udayadityavarman II, dedicated to Siva (Hindu) and Phimeanakas, built in late tenth century-beginning of the 11th century by King Jayavamen V and Udayadityavarman I and dedicated to Hindu. After that, visit Ta Prohm ( The Ancestor Brahma, Jungle Temple ), Shrouded in dense jungle the temple of Ta Prohm is ethereal in aspect and conjures up a romantic aura. Fig, banyan and kapok trees spread their gigantic roots over stones, probing walls and terraces apart, as their branches and leaves intertwine to form a roof over the structures. Trunks of trees twist amongst stone pillars. Break for lunch.

Afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, first a Hindu, then subsequently a Buddhist, temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yasodharapura,( present-day Angkor), the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaivism tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag. Back to hotel and drop off.

Day 03: Tonle Sap Lake & City Tour

After breakfast, you will be transferred to visit Tonle Sap lake, floating village that we call Chong Kneas. We take a boat to see crocodile farm, real lifestyle of three community like Cambodia, Cham and Vietnam. Then, visit Les Artisan D’Angkor, fine art School, place for workshop wood and stone carving, Lacquering, silver plated and silk painting. Back to hotel and drop off.

One Day Tour to Sambor Prei Kuk Group ( World Heritage Site )

Private Tour
This tour is ideal for those not bothered by longer drives in order to gain another perspective on temple touring. It's essential to leave Siem Reap early in the morning as getting to Sambor Prei Kuk takes approximately two and half hours. Consisting of dozens of impressive brick prasats in semi-cleared jungle, many ruins display excellent examples of early Khmer art. This pre-Angkorian complex is an important destination for the serious temple visitor. You will pause briefly at the Kampong Kdei Bridge. We also visit the stilted community of Kompong Khleang located on the northern edge of the Tonle Sap lake approximately 55km east of Siem Reap town. When the monsoon comes the waters rise up to one or two meters of the buildings. This is a permanent community with subsistence fishing as the main source of livelihood. This is also one of the largest communities on the Tonle Sap lake.

Private One Day to Banteay Srei, Beng Mealea and Rolous Group

Private Tour, Thing To Do
Rated 5.00 out of 5
This tour highlights temples located a little further beyond the main Angkor Archaeological Park. In the morning you will travel to a small temple of Banteay Srei well known for its beautiful delicate carvings in warm pink sandstone. This late 10th century temple is fairly compact and very different from other Angkorian temples. Once in a complete state of disrepair resembling a giant jigsaw puzzle, our next stop - Beng Mealea, has recently been made more accessible with the addition of a wooden walkway throughout the structure assuring a safe access and slight elevation, thus a better view. This mid 12th century temple features mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism attributes. Then, you will visit the late 9th century Hindu temples Bakong, Lolei and Preah Ko which are collectively known as the Rolous Temple Group. Let your guide show you the most attractive sites in this location, the most impressive being the pyramid-like Bakong surrounded by moat still containing water today.

This late 10th century temple is fairly compact and very different from other Angkorian temples. Fun fact: most households here own boats as well as motorbikes as their road becomes a water channel during the monsoon.

Private One Day Trip-Pyramid Temple Koh Ker and Beng Mealea

Private Tour, What To See

Let a local host show you around and experience this cultural attraction from a local perspective. We drive to Beng Mealea, a jungled temple with peaceful and green environment. Then, we visit The archaeological site of Koh Ker, UNESCO on September 17, 2023, a sacred urban ensemble of numerous temples and sanctuaries including sculptures, inscriptions, wall paintings, and archaeological remains. Constructed over a twenty-three-year period, it was one of two rival Khmer Empire capitals – the other being Angkor – and was the sole capital from 928 to 944 CE. Established by King Jayavarman IV, his sacred city was believed to be laid out on the basis of ancient Indian religious concepts of the universe. The new city demonstrated unconventional city planning, artistic expression and construction technology, especially the use of very large monolithic stone blocks. Back to Siem Reap.

Private Siem Reap City Tour

Private Tour, Thing To Do

This tour is perfect for those with a little more time on their hands and those interested in the recent Cambodian history. The War Museum houses a wide array of weapons and military vehicles collected from Cambodian battlefields and will shed a light on the recent years of turmoil and explain what shaped the country you see today. Wat Thmei, the Memorial of Victims of the Khmer Rouge Regime, is another sobering reminder of the recent, turbulent past of Cambodia. To lighten up the mood a little we suggest a visit to the Artisans d'Angkor workshop where skilled artists produce gorgeous pieces of lacquer, stone carvings and silver plating and seeing them at work shows the positive direction of the path Cambodia finds itself on today. If you don't find your souvenirs and gifts here then perhaps the Old Market will have what you are looking for. Browse and use your bartering skills to bring home your memories of Siem Reap.

Private Trekking Tour to The World Heritage Temples

Private Tour

A perfect tour for the active visitor! The Angkor Archaeological Park is a largely shaded forested area, so if you wish to combine your temple sightseeing with a healthy dose of walking, this tour is for you! You will be dropped off at Spean Neak bridge and start your walk to Angkor Wat Temple. Then, keep walking on the 8m high laterite wall to the East Gate (Death Gate). This short section of the wall has a clear worn path which is used by local traffic, occasionally you may meet people collecting wood and going on about their daily business. Through breaks in the forest canopy, you will be able to glance at the Angkor Thom moat below and on the other side the slope into the dense jungle. Back on level ground you will pass Prasat Pram Pi Lveng and continue to the Khleang temple group and the Preah Pithu Group, Tanei and Taprohm Temples. Although in plain sight and passed by many, these temples are rarely explored and thus well worth a short stop. You are almost guaranteed to have them to yourself!
