Day01: Phnom Chiso, Tonle Bati & Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary

Tonle Bati (Ta Prohm & Yeay Peau Temples): Your guide and driver will pick you up directly from your hotel lobby to begin the journey south. First, explore Ta Prohm of Bati, built by King Jayavarman VII on the grounds of a 6th-century shrine, featuring five sanctuary chambers and ancient trees growing over stone ruins. Nearby, visit Yeay Peau Temple, an atmospheric 12th-century shrine steeped in local legend and named in honor of King Ta Prohm’s mother.

Phnom Chiso Temple: Ascend Phnom Chiso, a 133-meter hill crowned by an 11th-century Angkorian temple complex built by King Suryavarman I. Originally named Sri Suryaparvata (“Mountain of the Sun”), this temple crafted from laterite, brick, and intricately carved sandstone lintels offers sweeping panoramic views across the surrounding Takeo countryside.

Prasat Neang Khmau: Stop at Neang Khmao Temple (“Black Lady Temple”), located within the peaceful grounds of a modern pagoda. Built in the 10th century under King Jayavarman IV for Brahmanic worship, this site features dark laterite towers that remain standing from the original set of three ancient sanctuaries.

Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary (Tamao Zoo): Finish the day at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary, Cambodia’s largest wildlife rescue center and zoo. Day02: Oudong Hill & Longvek Historical Territory

Sacred Hills of Oudong (Phnom Udong). Following hotel pickup, travel northwest to Oudong Hill, the royal capital of Cambodia from 1618 to 1866. Climb the sacred ridge to explore historic pagodas, golden stupas holding the ashes of past Cambodian monarchs, and breathtaking 360-degree views across the countryside.

Longvek Territory & Wat Traleng Keng: Discover Longvek, the historic capital of Cambodia during its Middle Ages (1528–1594) following the fall of Angkor.
